Auto-fill image boxes

Does anyone know if InDesign has a feature to auto-fill a group of picture boxes with images from a specified folder – ie box one is pic 1, box 2 is pic 2...? I know Quark has this feature.

Any hellp is greatly appreciated!
 
You might take a look at the Automation - Data Merge capability. I have only tested it, thou it did populate graphic frames and you can define how images are fitted; whether to link or embed.
