This problem is where I have two tape drives in one group on SCSI # 5 ID and SCSI # 6 ID. I can auto erase the # 6 device through the job wizard but when trying to automatically erase the # 5 media I get an "Job Scheduler Operation Failed". I CAN erase the media manually through the brightstor program so I know the program works.
So running a command line erase "ca_devmgr -erase 2 6 qz" and it works fine but "ca_devmgr -erase 2 5 qz" and it doesnt happen..."errorcode -1" media not in drive. I have doublechecked the media and it is in the drive. Nothing else is scsi id 5 or 6 just these tape drives. No conflicts or anything...
Kudos to the first solution giver!!!
I have tried my support contract with ca but they are even stumped!
