Hi, when you have a link to a Word document or a PDF document and you have the software installed, when the link is pressed the document is AUTOMATICALLY opened in Word or Adobe rather than giving you the option to Save or Open from Current location. Can i stop this Auto-Opening from happening?

well actually I will not link directly to a word or adobe file
just transform your file in a Zip file
then the browser will do its job and will offer the usual
"open from...etc.. or save to disk"

I'm not totally sure how this is done but it can be manipulated on the server side by playing with the http header returned to the client's browser. I hope this helped! ;-)
