Hi All - I was wondering how to go about auto disconnecting certain CLID numbers? Have a fax machine that is tying up lines and I tried to get it stopped but to no avail. Have a BCM50 R3 Sys V6

Thanks!! Zack

-Note the fax number and google it, call the company responsible.
-Of fax that number back asking them to stop it.
-If spam then dial that fax number, sometimes they give an option to be removed.
-Call the carrier and/or use their Number Blocking feature.
-If the site is on AA then use the CLID table, input/add that fax number and tell it to disconnect.

Hi - I checked the BCM Monitor and they called two times simultaneously and kept connected for 7 hours each until I got into the office the next day...arg.

We do use AA. I tried adding into CLID but it says to go to a greeting # or CCR tree, etc. I tried adding an option to disconnect and directing the CLID to a CCR tree and path but it must've caused an error because it just answered with our normal AA greeting...

It should answer with "One moment please" and then do as you commanded.

As for 7 hours it sounds like you have a Disconnect Supervision issue.
The fax is not tying up the line, the line is hung.
Set all your lines to Disconnect Supervision in line programming so when their fax hangs up your system will recognize the hangup and disconnect the line.
