I had a request from a department that wanted to upgrade their phones. This is a police dispatch center. They currently have 8434D phones and would like to be able to have enough auto-dial buttons for everyone in the department, other department numbers, etc. Is there anything that can be added onto these phones or replace the phones with something else that would give them this capability. I don't want to switch them to IP phones in the dispatch center in case they loose power and the stations go out of service. We are using the Avaya CM6 system. Thanks for your help.

Either create an abbreviated dial list (Up too 100 numbers) [ul]

[/ul]or add an DSS panel (I believe it's called) for more buttons. I did stock them. I'll look around and see if I can find the part numbers for you.

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

I did suggest the abbrv dial numbers but they don't have access to the system to change them as new people come in and old ones go. I think that the DSS is probably the way to go. Of course they want about 100 individual buttons. 1 for everyone.
