Auto complete text string

Wher does the system store the auto complete data or text strings when typing in order forms and/or questionares....when it drops down from the field your typeing in, it would seem it has to come from somewhere
 
Do you mean Word form fields? The entries in a drop-down list can be edited by right clicking the form field and choosing Properties. If the form is locked (it won't allow you to make any changes), you can unlock it on the Forms toolbar. Go to Tools, Customize, and on the Toolbars tab, turn on the Forms toolbar (click on the box). Clck on the last toolbar button on the right (looks like a padlock)to unlock the form.
 
If you're referring to IE, have a look at Tools - Internet Options - Content tab - AutoComplete button. My guess for where these would be stored would be registry.
