"Check Suggest names while completing To, CC ..... " may not exist on some computers, e.g. mine.
That what I did in my case to make autocomplete or auto-complete work with Outlook 2000:-
Autocomplete in Outlook 2000:
1. By making the desired .pst file the default .pst when Outlook 2000 starts (how? see '2')
2. Right click on the large grey bar near the top with the .pst file name. Go to Properties. Check 'Deliver pop mail to this pst file.' This causes the file to become default.
3. If you go the Tools/Address Book, Contacts under the desired .pst file should be populated/available. That's exactly what you want to happen. If not, make it happen in there somehow.
4. Restart Outook.
5. Now you should have autocomplete!!
I am posting this experience as I could not find the method above spelled out anywhere on the net, so to fill the void.
Only took me 2 hours to got that figured out. So happy. Praise God!
