I have been wondering for quite a long time now, but say we want to list a folder contents and we type
cd folder1/ + <tab><tab>
to see a list in folder 1.

Is there any way to have this list in color (its kinda hard to tell what is a folder, symlink, etc)

I am using bash;
would you happen to know the line entry that I should make there in order to have that behavior?

humm, that still doesn't seem to show the color in tab completion ....

no color in tab completition, only as a result of "ls --color"

Chacal, Inc.[wavey]

i have that as my ls alias already,
so i guess its not a possibility to have tab completion colored ?
