How can I activate and automatized command to execute many orders and instructions to apply them on an image, like,"crop, resize, compress, and save" at once.

I'm using photoshop ver. 7.0

Thanks!

press F1 and then do a search on "Actions". It will tell you all about it. It is very simple basically you press play give the action a function key and name and then perform the things that you want to automate then press stop. Then when you press play or the function key it will perform everything that you recorded.

Hi,

To do this first open the Actions Palette. Window|Actions

Then at the bottom of the palette click on the icon next to the Trash Can (Create New Action) and Name your action. Set: to Default Actions.atn, choose a function key (if you want to use that feature) and colorize it if you want.

Then press RECORD and note how at the bottom of the Actions Palette the Red Circle button is depressed and anything you do will be recorded until you press the stop button.

Go through and do all the actions you want to do (crop, resize, save, etc) then press stop. To apply the action to a new image, open the image and then press your Key Command that you set. If you did not set a key command then simply click on the name of the action you made and press the play button at the bottom of the palette.

If you wish to do the same action to a large quantity of images then do the following:
FILE|AUTOMATE|BATCH
Set: Default Actions.atn
Action: The action you made
Source: Folder
Choose the folder where all the images are
Destination: to another folder, or choose none to keep them all in the same folder
Errors: Stop for Errors
Then press ok and watch Photoshop apply the action that you just created be applied to all your pictures.

Hope this helps!
