I have a table with 4 columns;
- agent name
- department name
- sales total

Each day the table is sorted by who brought the most money in. I would like each dept. to have it's own font colour and/or shading to make it easier to spot people from the same dept. There are 12 different departments.

Any suggestions? I realize that some font colours look horrible on a regular screen so if I could specify the colour combos to choose from that would be ideal.

If you have four depts or fewer, then look at Conditional Formatting (no VBA needed).

Otherwise, have a look at thread68-1295894, which should cover your question.
