Does anyone know how I can exit a Mailmerge document and the main document automatcally when I close the merge document?

Thanks
Geoff

Because the actual mailmerge document is really "Document1" or whatever arbitrary number, it cannot have an event or code stored in it. However, if you don't choose "new document" when you do the mailmerge, it should "transform" the coded main doc into the mailmerge doc (hence, only one file open).

I strongly suggest making your main doc a template, then hitting File-New to access it.

You could just record a macro and save it in your normal.dot that does the following:

File-new, choose the main doc template, merge it, print it, and then close it without saving it.
