Auto check boxes 1

Hi all,

The databaseI created contains one Main table. I have created several queries off of this table. One of these queries is based on one criteria in the main table. That criteria is whether the Yes/No checkbox has been checked or not. All records that have NOT been checked get sent to this Query. I have also created a report to print out based on this query. I would like to be able to auto check all the boxes of the records in the query once they have been printed so they don't appear in the query again. I add data every day and print it out almost right away. I have not been able to figure out if this is possible.
Please help if you can.

Hi:

There may be several ways...

One is:

Either in a macro or in VBA

1) open the query that underlies the report
2) print the report
3) open an update query that updates
the yes/no checkbox to yes in all records

Take care to have an immediately preceding backup in the event the printer jams or,

You could wait until you have the printed document before opening the update query with a command button on a form.

That will work perfectly, I will just add a button to the switch board that runs the query to "cleaar the print query" That will ensure it stays until printed.
