trying to use auto call recording on ipecs 50B ver 6.0Bo.
I have set up call record button( trans, btn,trans80 extn number, hold). It shows the button as, two way rec(101).
I have set pgm 112/11, 112/20, 112/21.
When I make or receive a call the manual call record button does not work (no flashing button). If I don't press the button still doesn't record.
What have I missed ?

In my understanding the 2way record is one touch recording only. You have to press the key to start recording and either hangup or press the key again to stop recording. The older LDP handsets had a call record external box where you could auto record but I dont think auto is a feature with the 2way record function on an IPECS. The settings you displayed above may relate to IPCR which is the LG Call Recording suite.

Eats

Ok, Press Trans *#..... TRANS/PGM..... the transfer key?.......sigh!

Eats is correct. 112/20 and 112/21 are for IPCR only.

If you are using VSF or VMIM you need to push the two way record flex button.

Also turn off 161/19 if you don't want the record tone going to line.

thanks. I have turned off the auto record pgm112/20.
Any idea why the button I have programmed for two way record doesn't work when I am on a call and press it?
Is there any other programming required?
I am using isdn2 trunks.

Have you set up you voicemail group in PGM 190?

Allow voicemail access for the extn in PGM 113/2

Also the flex button is programmed as just TRANS/PGM 80. No extn number required. ( I am testing it on IPEC UCP but expect it is the same )

-The auto call recording feature needs an UCS client or Phontage.
-you can try to set it up with one of the free Phontage users.
