How would I be able to get the extension of my dwg and the date automatically printed on each sheet when plotting?

Hi jrevait,

Do you have AutoCAD 2002? If so, you can add a Plot Stamp to the layout.. This is accessed on the Plot dialog box - it's on the Plot Devices tab..

Click on the settings button and from here you can add all manner of attributes to the stamp, including Drawing name, date and time, plot scale etc..

As I said, this feature is in AutoCAD 2002 but it may be in 2000 and 2000i. I'm not sure about any other version. I can't remember R14 much so, if any else knows, please let us know..

I hope this helps..

Thanks anyways Renegade,
Unfortunatly Auto Cad 2000 doesn't not have this option of a PLOT STAMP.

I've tried looking in all of the options and preferences that Auto Cad 2000 has to offer, including the HELP option but I am still unable to figure this out. I can't even say forsure if this is at all possible.

If anyone can help me conquere my quest I would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

Jamie
