I'd like to start a worksheet that has columns of values. I'd like to have the average of the entire column update everytime i add another value to the bottom of the column.
The average could be displayed either in a single cell that updates, or as a second column of running averages displyed next to the data column. I could also live with defining a certain range of cells in the data column that may be the maximum to be filled ie 500 values if using a range in a function.
I imagine this is fairly easy for someone, but not for me.

thanks

Just define the average function (=average (range)in the first cell of the column you want the average from and define the range you want in the function.
Results will be updated automatically as you add values

thanks, works perfect
I knew it was easier than i thought
