auto attendent on avaya ip office 2

I have a customer that wants an Avaya IP office Partner version R7 with embedded voice mail and an auto attendant .I see that on the embedded voice mail the auto attendant does not have transfer capabilities nor can it give a message.Do I have to upgrade the system to voice mail Pro to accomplish their needs

running it in standard mode with an embedded AA/VM will do the trick. You can transfer to extensions or mailboxes, and play messages (really another AA).

Partner mode (somewhat sarcastically referred to around here as muppet mode) is very limited.Standard mode is far better.

The auto attendant in Partner/Quick/Basic (aka Muppet) mode does have transfer capabilities. On the Auto Attendant Setup page, in the lower right you have an Actions column, and for each key there is a drop-down menu where you can change the action from the default to "Transfer to number" or "Transfer to auto attendanat" (normally used for submenus). Auto attendant greeting messages and prompts are usually recorded by dialing 7811&7841 for day mode/ 7851 for night mode.
