I have zero experience with Shortel and am in the middle of migrating to an Avaya system. There was an issue where the carrier botched a port order as a temp fix I need to call forward a few numbers from Shoretel to external numbers. I gained access to the director interface and figured out where to set the forwarding on the users. There is a main number (DID) that seems to ring directly to an Auto Attendant that plays a greeting to the caller and allows to xfer to the various extensions or dial by name directory. I am not finding where that actual number is setup. I wanted to just associate it to a regular user so I can forward it like the other 2. When going into any of the current users it shows there's no available DID's left to allocate, so this last number is associated somewhere where I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can look to find and dis-associate this number so I can make it a regular user?

Hi,

check the trunks section in director - go to trunk groups and see if it's been set in the DNIS map

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
