auto attendant xfer

How do I ( I forgot,been a while) take the prompt of (to leave a message press 1, 0 for operator , or * for another extension) after a phone forwards back to voice mail after ring no answer, i just want it to play the greeting, not prompt the caller if they WANT to leave a message.

TVS225 is the voice mail and its on a kxtd1232

you forward busy / no answer to voicemail ext then you will
get follow on id

It has the ID it goes to the right box, however it plays the v.m. lady first saying to leave a message press 1, if you do press one it plays the correct box greeting. I know there was either a quick transfer setting or a mailbox setting to make it go straight to the box. I also am having this problem not only with boxes with phones but with my phantom boxes also.

First check the COS of the mailboxes and make sure play system prompt after greeting is turned off. If this still doesn't take care of it change the Extension Transfer Sequence from FX to FXA.

just for grins I tried what dalavar01 suggested
with both transfer sequences and system prompt
off and it doesn't stop her from coming back on
when you have used the auto attendant

the only way that she wont come back on is to forward
busy / no answer as I stated befor I don't know why
you would not want it that way to begin with because
if you step away or you have a private line dil 1:1 to you ext that is the only way that they would hit your no answer greeting

I don't know to this day why the did not have a predetermined fwd destination for all exts like so many
others do

I know what you mean about the fwd on the extensions, thats not the issue, BEFORE the greeting, press 1 to leave a message , 2 for another extension or 0 fot the operator, having fwd on the phones takes care of all that, however my problem lies with the PHANTOM extensions that ring several phones then goes to its box, (they also have pahnton MW buttons) all works fine however the phantoms do not put out the follow on id the same way as the phones, so for now I turned off the associated user prompts except to leave a msg press 1, that way the caller doesnt get all frustrated with havibg to listen to a bunch of garbage BEFORE hearing the actual box greeting. Panasonic said I couldn't do anything about that BUT they have told me that for years on many things,lol.

Won't it use follow on ID if you set up Intercept Routing? I thought that if you had the CO's set to Intercept Route to Ext. 165 and had the Intercept Timer to like 6 rings then it will use follow on ID. Might want to give it a shot.
