I am working with a vendor that has installed a Vodavi Starplus STS system with Auto Attendant tranfer configured. When you call their main #, you are given options for all their different locations around town. For example: "Hit 2 for SW location" etc. If you hit option 2, you get music from the PBX. The PBX then does a flash hook and at that point, you hear a click like the call is hung up. There is dead air for about 5 seconds before you hear any ringing. It appears that the caller is not hearing the first ring on the transfer. Is there any way to reconfigure the Vodavi to dial faster and hang-up after dialing earlier? We had our switch vendor look into it, and they said that since the Vodavi is hook flashing to dial digits in order to forward the call, this 5 second period of silence is the point during the call in which the calling party is on hold. (Our switch provider does not support "music on hold" or "Ringback on hold" at this time). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
