Auto Attendant transfer to mailbox

Have a new 500v2 on bench running 9.0.0. Trying to program auto attendant selector code "0" to transfer directly to Main hunt group mailbox. I have tried placing a # in front of destination but nothing.

Create a shortcode like SC=899 TN=#"Main" action = voicemail collect
Create a user and unconditional forward it to 899
Point the 0 as a normal transfer in the AA to the above user
You could try to set 899 as a target in the AA but I think it won't work

Or try short code #XXX // voicemail collect // "#"N (the quotes are important!).

Then dialing or transferring to #+ext (as long as it's 3 digits) will direct the caller to VM. I've set options on embedded voicemail to be normal transfer: #200 frequently.

I build this mostly for reception to transfer direct to voicemail (as I find the use of the message button unintuitive).

The AA doesn't accept * or # as first digit so that shortcode is OK but not for the AA

Hey, thanks for all the replies. Programed shortcode #100, voicemail collect, TN#100
In auto attendant action 0, normal transfer, #100. Works fine.
Fyi, does have a brief MOH before greeting of mailbox 100, though.

Change your AA option from Normal Transfer to Transfer and it will not play MoH.
