What is the correct procedure to program the Auto Attendant to transfer to an external number? Ex. Voice option "Press 2 for Warehouse" Caller is then transferred to a External number 9224XXXX.
There's several methods but I believe the simplest and most flexible is the following:
Assuming all COS and COR options enabled to allow voicemail to transfer calls externally:
- Create a System Speedcall number to the desired number
- Create a Transfer Only Mailbox with the Ext DN matching the Speedcall DN (MB# and SD# do not need to match)
- Set the Menu Node option X to send to the transfer only MB
