Hi quick one I hope.

CX on release 5 UR1.

AA answers incoming and three options to choose from each of which is a single digit transfer only VM box.

1 to a PRG
2+3 to single phones.

All class of service options (USER/TRUNK/VM ports) set to MOH on transfer to NO

Yet I don't get the ringback whilst the transfer is taking place. Just silence.

All phones ring correctly at the correct prompt and can be answered.

Any clue anyone? According to the sysadmin help they should get a ringing tone on transfer..

Tony

Seem to remember other posts regarding no ringing in situations like this. You might want to search for them. No suggestions otherwise.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

I am begining to wonder if it is to do with supervised transfer which is set to yes by default rather than what sysadmin help says...(which is to default to unsupervised). Just waiting for an engineer to get on site cos I haven't got remote access yet...

OK,

Supervised transfer uses hold so if no music then you get silence

Unsupervised you get ringback unless you change the COS settings to use MOH on Transfer.

In this case there is no MOH so silence it was and no option to get ringback instead as far as I can see.

I was thrown a bit since the Sysadmin guide says the default is unsupervised but in R5 it is actually supervised...
