Has anyone had the problem and possibly knows a fix to the problem .... we have IP Office 412 and Voice Mail pro - the auto attendant stops transferring incoming calls after the caller presses any option - they get the auto attendant greeting but after they choose any option (except another recoding within voice mail), they get dead air. This happens for no apparant reason - it will work fine for days and then all of a sudden just stop working. Rebooting the voice mail server a few times sometimes works but sometimes not - we have to reboot voice mail as well as IP Ofiice and then it might work.

We are on 4.0 for both IP Office and Voice Mail Pro
4.0(7) and 4.0(18)

Thanks!

Dead air means your licenses probably are not valid anymore
What kind of dongle do you use ?
Don't redtart next time but look with manager if the licenses are still valid or not

Try adding a Time-out option on the Menus.
Time-out does not have to route anywhere. Just set time-out for 10 seconds.

Did you get anywhere with this? having the same issue not licence related with an ip406 using 4.10 software.. same vm pro...

No, we have gotten no where .... sometimes it will kickj back in gear when we reboot the VM Pro server but other times we can reboot the VM Pro server and the IP Office unit and it STILL will not work.

Then you just leave it alone for an hour and it will start working again for no apparent reason.

In the meantime we have to reconfigure all incoming call routes to bypass the auto attendant.

Very frustrating!

If you haven't done this already, try deleting the existing Auto attendant Menu completely and rebuild from scratch. If still have problem, uninstall voice mail software and reinstall it. If that don't do it, try replacing the computer or down grade v-mail pro to 4.0 (5).
Just a few more suggestions.

This sounds similar to a problem a friend of mine was having. He got a patch from Avaya that fixed it.

The calls would transfer, the caller would hear ringing but the phone wouldn't ring. It would go to the voicemail box of that extension after the appropriate amount of time. He also had some other quirky behaviors on other systems that the same patch fixed even though it wasn't written for those problems. Sorry I don't have a copy of it or "d upload it somewhere for you to try.

I have tried rebuilding the call flows as per suggestion by 'TheDoz' and... so far so good... hasn't gone wrong yet!

Hope this is the solution and it continues to work!

Thanks!
