i want to setup an auto-attendant and main greeting recording on my ip403 release1.3.2 so that incoming outside calls will be ansewred by the vm/aa...any help pls...is it possible?

Of Course it is possible.
Create a Start Point in Short Codes in VM Pro
(eg. the name of the Short Codes is Attendant)
Open the IP Office Manager Application
Create a Short Code as following:
Short Code: *90
Telephone Number: #Attendant
Feature: VoiceMailNode(or Voicemailcollect)
Create a new Incoming Call Route in Manager Application
Remember to change the Destination to the short code you just create(eg. *90). And keep the Line Group ID collectly.
Now, Calls from outside will be routed to VM Pro whose name is 'Attendant'.
You should modify the Attendant procedure as you need.

Good Luck!

hello kinghway...tks a lot for your help...i did as u said and now incoming calls are routed to *90 but i guess i need more help to program the attendant(i only have the start point) and how to record the aa greeting coz incoming callers are routed to *90 and hear nothing...tks in advance...

You can do this one of 2 ways

You need to create a recodings menu in VM Pro. This would be done using another System Short Code into a new short code in VM Pro called Recordings for example. You then create a menu option and add 1-9. Then create Edit Play List actions, for each recording you require. Name the the wave files within the action, and link it all up. You can thenm dial the Recodings menu and link the wave files to the AA you have created.

In version 2 VM you can now record on the fly, by selecting the actions which requires the greeting, and select Entry Promts within it. Type a file name in and make sure "Use which Media Device" is selected to "telephony handset" and select the extension number next to you. Once you press the record button at the bottom of the screen the selected handset will ring and prompt you to record the greeting.
