Hi,

I ve an ip Office 500 version 5.0.26 , when i am trying to record an auto attendant greeting using *84XX it is like line is bysy and i am not hearing any prompt

Do you think that the card is corrupted ?

Is the system using embedded voicemail or voicemail pro? If it is using voicemail pro then *84XX is likely not the correct shortcode needed to create/change the greetings. Depending on how it was setup there may not be any shortcodes (some people just use the vmpro client to call an extension to record). If it is embedded make sure it created the *84XX shortcode.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Also, is it a 500v1 or v2?

In case of the ipo500v1, is there a cf card present in the slot at the back?

And note that this has to be a special avaya embedded voicemail cf card.

If you have a IPO V1 R5.0 what you have is a ticking time bomb. They are known for PS failure. You have choices. A complete upgrade to R11.X. Getting a secondary market V2. Max version of R7 if you don't want to buy an essential license. Or getting a secondary market CF card.

Thanks for your answers.

The system is an IP Office 500 with a CF card. the card is present and i can see the files in the embedded file management

I am using embedded voice mail , the short code to change the greeting is *84XX from what i can see , because when i am creating the autoattendant in the menu it says 8401

@budbyrd what do you mean it is a timebomb, i ve changed the PSU long time ago with a version 2 PSU

@daras The PSU is a known issue with the V1.

I would be looking at the mail boxes. If they get 255 messages in one box the VM will crash.

i ve deleted everything from the mailboxes,

can i create a new feature code in order to change the auto attendant greeting ?

You said the auto attendant says the shortcode is *8401 for menu options... but did you check the system shortcode list and make sure that the *84XX shortcode exists? If it doesn't exist then this won't work that simple.

no, the *84XX code it exists

Hi,

Can i format and recreate the CF card ?

I dont mind to lose the recordings,

i ve noticed whrn i am dialing *84XX it shows on the phone number busy

is that a problem with the card or with the configuration ?

This is the log

It sounds like voicemail may not be running. What happens when you dial *17? I know a previous user asked this question doesnt look like it was answered.

Hi,

I ve changed the CF flash with a new one, and it worked.

Thanks for your help
