Have a partner vm 5.0 that has been working fine, all of the sudden when some one listens to the auto attendant and selects extension they get "invalid entry". where do i look as to the cause?

Someone's fiddled with your selector code for that extension range, probably. Check your automated attendant selector codes for 1, 2 and probably 3 to be sure they are set for "direct extension dialing".

If they are properly set and still won't accept the user's input, power cycle the switch and try a few minutes later. If it still won't accept them, there's likely a DTMFR problem or line quality issue that needs looking at.

this is what i get from the auto attendant

auto attendant 1
selector code 1 anouncemet
selector code 2 direct extention transfer

thanks that was the problem selector code 1 got changed to announcement dont know how they did that. but thanks again.

Change selector code 1 to 'direct extension transfer'
