Hi together,

i would like if someone could explain to me whats needed for the following soloution and also how it should be setted up.

Request:

External caller will dial into the system by dialing the main office number. After 4 rings or out of office hours the caller should get CCR with language prompting.. press 1 for language1 or 2 for language2... after that caller should be able to do "dial by name" by Call Pilot Directory..

Anybody out there who can tell me what i have to set up and if that is possible?

regards,

subx

9 is reserved for Alternate language selection

Change the Answer option for the Lines you want to be answered to Yes by Changing the answer mode to auto attendant and change number of rings to 4 under each line properties page ((Lines Administration - Auto Attendant)
Assign a greeting table to the lines in the same location

In the greeting table, assign and record greetings for morning afternoon evening and/or non business as appropriate.
Then assign the CCR tree
Set up your CCR tree.

If you want them to be able to press star to enter an extension and # for a company directory you will need to enable return to auto attendant, under auto attendant General Properties.

If all you need is the ability to dial an extension and use the company directory, you do not need the CCR tree - You can just use the default auto attendant greeting.

hi there and thx for ur answers....

even i had already an Auto Attendant running with CCR tree so i still have problem to get this running on my BCM 400 Rel. 3.7 ....

Here are the facts again what i try to set up...

Attendant DM is 6000.... after 4 Rings ( I tried also directly -> 0 Rings ) the call should picked up on Auto Attendant and external caller should be able to..
a) choose alternate or primary language
b) use the call pilot directory to dial the extensions

status now.....

external caller ring on extension 6000 and after 10 rings the call forward setting send him to general delivery mailbox....

i made some screenshots of my programming......

thx in advance for ur help ;O)

what is the main number????
What type of lines on the system????
Can you confirm you have the right amount of incoming digits for the public number.
Can you assign line 241 to another extension like dn 6001 to confirm the DDI is programed correctly.
If you have BRI lines on the system have you set them to automaic not manual.

Yes how are the lines coming in?
And what is the call forwarding capability set to on 6000.
Also, change number of rings on line 241 in Auto Attendant table from "0" to "4".
I still don't see what you need the CCR tree for.
If you don't need it, just have the auto attendant answer it but do not send it to the CCR tree.

Hi ;O)

Line 241 is selected for 6000 public and private... call get into system and extention 6000 ( attendant systemphone ) start ringing. after 4 rings ( on the screenshots are 0 rings cause i tested it with 0 also ) should it get to auto attendant... ( here i also tried with or without CCR tree ) but it never answer after 0 or 4 ringing cycles.... and i cant use name dialing of the call pilot.... the extension 6000 has a call forward no answer after 10 rings and then it get into mailbox 6000 ( general delivery 1000 & 6000 ) but thats it... auto attendant dont pic the call...... even company greeting is recorded and setted up....

subx

ok Thank you, that makes it much clearer.

So your calls are ringing in at the extension and call forwarding on to voice mail but the autoattendant is simply not answering.
Can you get iot to work on any other lines?

i did also try to add many lines... so that many target lines or also all pri lines ( customer use PRI ) are on auto attendant.... but even i put that physical lines there.... it still dont answer... is there any prompt that needed to set so auto attendant will get calls without lines? what does the operator settings and attendant DN in auto attendant mean?

regards,

subx

Those are the stations that the calls will go to if the caller presses 0 for operator or takes no action.

I take it the voice mail is working?

It seems as if you have a problem with the call pilot. I mean, if you have added a line in the auto-attendant, you have a greeting recorded - well heck - it should be answered by the auto attendant.
There really isn't anything you can do to stop that, as far as I know, by another setting...

Has the auto attendant portion ever worked?

If so, what the heck, try shutting down and restarting the system.

If not, perhaps you have a problem with the call pilot software. I don't think you are missing any settings.

Not sure what you mean about auto attendant getting calls without lines.

hi there...the problem got solved

i dunno what was wrong... i didnt change anything of the settings but as i arrived today on customer site it worked...

i made many reboots and shutting downs the day b4 but the auto attendant never did answer the line .. but all the other call pilot options like voicemail did work fine....
After 24h everything works fine now...maybe the Auto Attendant yesterday took a coffee break ;O)

regards and thx for help anyways.....
