Auto Attendant Legend R 7 / MLM 007 HELP!!!

I have a problem with the Auto Attendant on my Merlin Legend.

1) The auto attendant will pick up on 4 rings and I created a new group cover and set rings to 1 and it still pick up on 4 rings. I also checked to voice mail system and it is on immediate answer.


2) I was also told that if you set up group cover it will always ring the console once and then go to the auto attendant.

Is it possible to have the system always answer on Auto Attendant without ringing the system? If not how do I make it ring only once?

if your VM is setup for immediate answer then make sure you have all the lines assigned to the vm hunt group (770) not a hunt group that overflows to the vm hunt group. check all the hunt groups to make sure they do not have an assignment execpt for 770. then turn the ringing to delayed ring on the console so that the lines will not ring on the console when the vm answers it. I say delayed in the event the vm crashes at least the lines will start ringing after 3 rings.
