Greetings from Seattle,

We have a Legend 3.0 that we just set up an auto attendant on. The attendant is working as designed. Our only issue is incoming calls ring 5 times before the auto attendant is reached. How and where do we change this down to 1 to 2 rings for incoming calls. Or can this be done on this system.

Thanks,

Soop

The "usual" way of delaying an Auto Attendant's answering, is to assign the incoming lines to another calling group, and OVERFLOW it to the voice mail calling group (making a mailbox to match the overflowing group to steer the call to the auto attendant).

You would go to Extensions, More, Group Calling, Overflow, put in the overflowing group number and enter, press enter when it shows you that it is overflowing to the voice mail calling group, then change the Time Based overflow to the number of seconds that you want before answering.

You may need to print your dial plan, and your group calling to find the group that the lines are assigned to.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot. This system is connected to an Octel 250 for some reason or another.
