Under Auto Attendant Configuration - does anyone know why when I set up a specific port (CO) with a seperate greeting it plays the one set up for the other ports?? I have two seperate divisons and have different incoming numbers that require different greetings. Any help?

What type telephone and voicemail system do you have? DHSw/Dispatch?

I believe you can have a CO port that can answer with the temporary ("the different division") greeting if told to do so in voicemail programming. Read manual carefully to accomplish this, or call Vodavi tech support for assistance. They are very good with this voicemail. Also, check to see what software level is being used on the voicemail. It may need to be upraded if not 0050 or better...Good Luck.

The documentation does show how to configure each port with a different greeting under the 'Auto Attendant Configuration' screen and I do have it set for ports 4 and 5 to a answer a seperate greeting. But it does not work. It picks up the greeting for ports 1-3. I just upgrade the software to (0057). The vendor I purchased the system wanted to charge me $80 for the upgrade. And I don't have access to Vodavi support - telephone or web.

I believe you have to set Ports 4 and 5 to A new group like 441 then have Group 441 answer those lines that you need the second greeting for.

if you are merely changing the greeting on ports 4 and 5, and ports 4 and 5 were still in group 440 then if ports 1-3 were busy then the 4th outside call would hear the 2nd greeting

does this make sense?

I have not tried what you have sugessted. I'll look into it. However regarding your other comments, I have set ports 4 & 5 to their seperate greeting and have dialed directly to those ports - still get the greeting for the other ports.

I did request a password. The following is their reply:
