Hi Guys (and Ladies),

I have an issue with an old BCM50 (rev3) and a CallPilot AutoAttendant.
We have some PSTN (POTS) lines going into the BCM and the number goes to a CCR on the CallPilot. This all works fine.
One of the options goes directly to a M7310 handset but they want to the ability to redirect call to a mobile number at weekends.

I have tried call forwarding to a mobile. If I ring the autoattendant and select the option, instead of going to the mobile the calls goes to another phone inside the building.
If I ring the forwarded handset from another handset it correctly forwards to the mobile.

I have enabled "Enable Network Transfers" on CallPilot but still have the same issues. I am thinking trunk to trunk transfers is being blocked but I can't see anything settings to change.

Any ideas?

Did you put a 9 in front of the external number? Also, you need to make sure outbound dialing goes through the routing service and that Allow Redirect is on for the extension.

Hi Atcom,

Yes, I have put the access code (9) for an outside line on the set - otherwise it won't take the mobile number.
Allow redirection is set to yes as I can ring the forwarded phones DN from another internal phone and the call correctly forwards to the mobile.

It is when the calls come through the CCR auto-attendant they fail to follow the external forwarding on the handset.

Are they DN dialing the extension through the auto attendant or is it one of the choices, e.g. PRESS 2 for DNXXXX.

If CCR tree sends the call to the DN, why not set up a Schedule and different CCR tree for Weekends?
It makes it idiot proof because someone is going to forget to call forward the phone at 5 o'clock on Friday or someone who needs to use the phone will shut it off.

I thought of that too but I just need to check if it is going to the same mobile all the time...

I thought trunk to trunk transfers on POTS was not supported on the BCM only on digital trunks

If its not broke tweak it..

I was able to do it by setting up destination codes 90 - 99 and stripping the 9 (1 digit). Set the dest. codes to use routing out the pool of choice. Did this instead of using pool access codes.

Dumb question, but did you allow pool access to the VM ports? They're the ones doing the calling in your scenario.

telcodog - I read his post as AA answers the call, transfers to a set, then the set is redirecting the call to an outside number. Did I miss something, once transfered to the set doesn't the set and system have control of where the call is to go ?[ponder]

Sorry, I see now where if it is the same cell number every weekend - I agree it may be easier to have the CP do it. But it should work either way.

Thanks for the advice and sorry for not posting for a few days.

I spoke to the people again and they need to divert the mobile only when there is only one person working. This could be at the weekend (or not, depending on shifts) or during the week.

As I kludge I set them up a mailbox with an outbound transfer number of their mobile and recorded a message to tell callers to press 9 to continue. This works but it is not ideal as it adds a menu step when they are forwarding to a mobile.

I was wondering though if I could create a CCR which forwards to the mobile number, attach this to a spare DN in Call Pilot and set this DN to foward all calls to CallPilot (and hence into the CCR).

Am I correct in thinking you can't have Phantom stations unlike the larger Option or CS1000 systems?

Cheers
