Recently another vendor installed a PRI card in my customer's Magix, completely replacing the CO lines it used to use. Now the auto attd doesn't pick up during day or night--calls just terminate to the general mailbox. In Night Service/GroupAssign/Lines I already removed lines 801-814 (the old copper lines), but I can't add lines 817-839 (the PRI channels). I also tried to add pool 70 and it won't take, I just hear a beep when I try to add it. So now there aren't any lines in Night Service/Group Assign. In Merlin Messaging, I assigned lines 817-839 to auto attd 1 in line assignments.

Any ideas? What am I missing?

The typical PRI configuration does not work like POTS lines. PRI does NOT do ringing current for incoming calls. So remove all the PRI lines/channels from the Nite Service Grp. Incoming calls using PRI are handled as DID calls. You will need to program the digits received from the CO switch for the main number to go somewhere. Is the PRI service providing any DID numbers for other stations? If all calls go to the Auto ATT then you will need to make changes to both the Magix and whatever VoiceMail system you are using. Does the Magix use a Console phone? You might post a print of the PRI info and Calling Groups so we can see what is programmed there. That way we can offer more suggestions.

If the main number is being sent to the operator console (we'll call it x100) then go into your merlin messaging and set-up x100 as Auto-attendant 1. Then, use DND to send them immediate to attendant and night to switch between day and night mode. The only issue is that x100 will no longer have a mailbox associated with it. Assign the general mailbox to that phone (9991) and that will light x100 mailbox.
