auto archiving

With the 6.5.3 client and auto archiving of email set up for items 90 days old, should I expect that the first time auto archiving takes place that everything older than 90 days will be archived or does the 90 days start counting from today?
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Anything older than 90 days, regardless of when you set the rule.
