We need to auto-answer a DN on an analog extension/loudspeaker -- meaning the call should be delivered in an answered state, and/or the extension is defined as being in a permanent off-hook state. Has anyone setup something like this using e.g. the loudspeaker on hold feature? Any other suggestions? E.g. paging?

this feature can be implemented in 2 ways
first by setting AAA and HFA in the CLS
this will cause all incoming calls to ring the set once and then be auto answered..the second is to alocate a key on a digital set
ld 11
req=chg
type=2616
TN x x x x
echg=yes
item key x AAK

try that

The above example only works on digital sets. It does not apply to analog connections. You may want to check into Semi-permanent connections.

However, I don't believe you can achieve this with an analog station port since there's no way the pbx can loop the line for the device (ie: go offhook).

If you're doing loudspeaker paging, you want to use a CO card (Universal Trunk Card). This provides the appropriate line-level output for a paging system.

Hope this helps...
