auto answer in Avaya Interaction Center

Could anyone confirm that when using the thick client in AIC 7.x the only way to edit the auto answer settings is through the vtel.ini on the local machine? At this moment we are deploying the new interaction center. Due to differences in the auto answer feature, and central distribution of the client software via packaging, its not doable to edit all the local machines. Our businesspartner is telling us that there is nog central way to manage this setting and that the settings of communication manager (according to auto answer on the agent form) are not relevant for the AIC client.
