Hi

We are running lotus5 for our intranet.When the access is controlled through ACL as Default with no access and when we try to open the database the internet explorer kicks in asking to enter userid and password.

If I have to give the user more flexibilty of changing the password based on duration what should I do?

I think I do not understand your problem.
You say Default is No Access and you are surprised that a browser cannot open it anonymously ? That is quite normal.
What does this have to do with password change and duration ?
In order to allow a user to change his/her password via browser, you must first have a mechanism to allow the user to enter a change password request, then have an agent take the change request and update the user's personal document.
You can find such applications at the Sandbox on the Lotus site.
You could also allow Author access to all users on the intranet, in which case they could browse the People view and edit their own document, but I do not like the idea of opening the server NAB to browsers. That is just my opinion though.

I have pasted the follwing lines from your reply. I am looking exactly for that.Could you please help me more in this regard.Can you send me a link of such an application and give me the details how to integrate that.Is there any simple way to address this issue in Lotus6.
