authentication type 0 not adequate

hi,

we recently installed NW 7.3.4 on our hp-tru64 single node cluster. the operating version is tru64 5.1B. The newly installed sw has been running smoothly op to yesterday when the server crashed. Afterwards when starting a new backup we get the message:

nsrd: Cannot get volumes list for jukebox `MSL5000-1': authentication type 0 not adequate

authentication is set up like in the manual:
0.0.0.0/0,nsrauth/oldauth

what could be the problem?

hi, we had this resolved by legato support.

we had to perform :

nsrim -X (read the man pages, it is advised to do this after a crash)

nsrck -L 6 ( runs a very long time, i started it at night)

now we can again make backups.
