One of our business partners is running SPS3 and we are having trouble accessing their site. They are using NTLM authentication which won't work through our Symantec/Raptor Firewall. I advised them to switch to Basic authentication but they feel this is a security issue. I doubt I could get them to implement SSL, unless it's REALLY easy.

Is there a way to allow basic authentication only from one IP address? This way they could allow basic from our firewall address and nowhere else.

Other than that, is there any other secure way of authenticating without using NTLM?

Having them switch to Basic authentication will work, but it is not very secure of course. With Integrated aithentication it works but it prompts everyone to sign in 2 to 3 times and it pisses everyone off.

I am now working to get SSL working on my STS and its not real easy. I still have a couple of bugs/issues to work out.
