Authentication Prompt when using a link to network share

Hi All,

We have CP FP4 installed and clients connecting using secureremote. All services work fine - Intranet, exchange and a wyse terminal based app. On the intranet we have links to documents on a file and print server. When users click these the page times out after about 30 secs. If i try and connect to the path thru UNC it prompts me for network details. The folder has Everyone on list and read access etc for all but stil no luck.

Any ideas how I can make this work without authenticating to the share first ?

Are you running smart defense? if so remove the NUL CIFS defense under application intelligence section. Hope that helps.

Not that im aware of... Unfortunately I havent taken part in the upgrade from NG1/2 to the 4 version we have now and i feel a bit out of date on the features.. How can I check if Smart Defence is on ?

I'm pretty sure it is always on, you require a license for udating it online to checkpoint.

How can I check its always on? And what does disabling the Nul Cifs actually do
