I have setup a vpn on winnt 4 server. I have added all the necessary things for it (in the control panel, added the ports for vpn and added the -incoming connection option for the users that will log on - Added RAS, PTPP)
The problem that I am having is that I connect the remote computer to the network and then try to connect to the vpn and it tells me that it's verifying user name and password, it finds the ip and everything, but it stays her. Then after a while it says 'erro 721 the remote computer is not responding. I can't seem to get past this, does anyone have a suggestions?

Oh, the config on the server is the following
Have dynip client installed (for static ip on the internet)
I have a router(ascend router), opened port 1723 for the incomming connection of the vpn. (some other ports were opened on the router too, i don't recall them right now i found the on MS Webpage)
I know the config works because I am able to connect through pcanywhere to the server from a remote location.

You opened TCP port 1723 which is correct. But you also need to forward IP protocol 47. Note this is NOT a TCP/UDP port but is GRE. For the Asend router, in the NAT menu, look for a parameter called "tunnel server". This is specifically for GRE 47. Set the tunnel server to the IP of your server.

I can't seem to find this option on the router, the only things listed under Nat are:
Routing=yes
Profile=smartcom
FrAddress=192.168.1.100 (which is the server addr)
Lan=Single Ip Addr
...Static mappings
Def Server=192.168.1.100 (was off before, but I changed it to the nt server after i read the post)
Reuselastaddr=no
resue addr timeout=N/A
That was all I could find, I looked all over the router too, but did not find the "tunnel server"
