hi all,

I am using SNMPc 7.0. I. Everything is working fine. I get SNMP traps from routers, switches, firewalls and from servers. On Server with Windows Server 2003 I created the correct community and configured th trap destination. From all Servers I get an authentication failure trap. In MS Knolwedge Base I found an article, that this can happen, if the polling comunity is different to the configured community on the server, but this is not the case.

what else can be the problem?

Perhaps you have configured the ReadCommunityString correct but did you think about the WriteCommunityString?
Perhaps this one is not the same at both ends.

Do you use SNMP or SNMP2?
