When I start 'recover' on AIX, I get the following error-message:

recover: Cannot start session with server server03: Authentication error

note: I have used this command:
/usr/nsr/bin/recover -sserver03 -cdykb /

I have found the solution to this problem: I have stopped and started the networker deamon on AIX. Now I don't get the message anymore. But I'm just curious what has caused this error message. Can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance.

nsrexecd/nsrd only loads the details it needs at load, so if you had altered the servers file or such, then you would need to stop/start the processes to pick up this change.

Yeah, but I haven't made any changes at all..
I'm the only admin on networker so I'm pretty sure nothing has changed.
Is there any onther reason?
