Hello all,

I am new to this forum but I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with a problem I am having.
I can connect to the VPN network (on a NT4 server) using my XP laptop via wireless broadband router but I can't map any drives, it just says network path not found. I also can't ping the server.
I have tried disabling the firewall on the laptop (Zone Alarm) and the Win firewall is down anyway. How can I be connected to the VPN network when I can't ping the server?

Any help much appreciated!

it sounds like a DNS issue. In the MS VPN client, you need to specify the DNS suffix so that the client can resolve addresses within the soffuix range.

It is found under Networking-->Select TCP/IP -->Properties -->
Advanced -->DNS; it is found at the bottom of that tab. add your dns suffix (mydomain.com) and check both options to have it listed within the DNS records.

Give this a shot and see what happens.
