What I want to do? Have global groups for each of my domains that have permissions to the proxy server, thus controlling internet access by virtue of group membership.

What I have? Running Proxy 2.0 on a W2K member server. Also running Surf Control for access to sites. Presently have the proxy set to anonymous access.

Question? How do I set this up? I have tried changing to authenticated access for Internet Users (my name for a global), but when I did there was no access to anything.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well first create your groups in the "user manager", once these are created you can go into the "Web Proxy" settings and give them the permissions you wish (FTP read/Web access).

Obviously disable the anonymous access as well.
