Hi,

I am trying to authenticate from my OSX server to netware 6.5 server using my standard admin username and password but I cannot get logged in. When I connect from the OSX server I use the format.."LDAPv3/server ip address" and enter in username in the form .admin.services and password. Is there something I need to change on the novell server as I am not sure about how to configure ldap

cheers

Look in SYS:ETC\ for two files called CIFSCTXS.CFG and CIFS.CFG.. In one of them, you need to put the contexts where users are located in your tree. I can't recall which file it is though.

Also you need to look in iManager under your Roles and Tasks -- File Protocols -- CIFS.. Make sure you have stuff configured there the way you think it should be.

Then you need to stop and restart the afp stuff or just restart your server.
