I know this can be a bit of a pain, but there are a couple of tools out there that I have had working successfully, but I am a bit concerned about whether or not they will be reliable solutions.
1) ADmitMac - This seems to be able to work, but it was a bit quirky for me. It bombed my computer out one time(freak accident?) and I had to re-install the OS, etc. after Thursby support telling me that they figured it looked like it was some OS file that works along with ADmitMac that was causing the trouble. There are also a couple other minor things, but I am just a bit concerned about reliability.
2) 10.3(Panther). I got this to work as well and it seemed to be able to connect just fine, but it is a concern that it does not seem to handle NTLMv2 and Kerberos properly, thus causing a security risk. Also, the encryption problems seem to be making AD 2003 not accept passwords from it when connecting to shares. I assume this is a different authentication mechanism than it uses when you log on - that seems to work.
Basically, I am asking if anyone is using one of the above or any other product for this(on a regular basis) and if you are getting a good stable solution. I do not want to bother if this will create more problems than it is worth.
fyi - I have also successfuly set up 10.2 to connect to the domain, but that is so painfull I wouldn't even consider it a solution. Hokey bit of work there even just advertising that it exists.
