Apologies if this is in the wrong place guys...
I've just set up Samba server running on Fedora 4. I can get Fedora to autheticate user accounts for logging on to the pc against NDS (Novell Directory Services) through the "Authentication" GUI in Gnome, very straightforward. However, what i really want is to have Samba authenticate against NDS for allowing access to network folders. The NDS server is an external box (nds.ncicollege.com), not on localhost. I've searched a good deal on this and can't figure out the answer, there's some info out there on using samba with openldap on the same box but it's all fairly heavy going and i can't really work it around to my own scenario.
Can anyone help with this one? I'm a relative Linux nubie so please be gentle!
Thanks in advance,
D
