Hi all,
I'm doing some experiments to authenticate pure-ftpd users against an ADAM server.
This ADAM server is installed in a DMZ and holds a synched copy of the Active Directory. Now I'm not the one administrating this ldap thing and for the moment the authentication is not working out.
I can bind to the ldap,.. I can see my individual users and I see that every user has the attribute samaccountname which is the login. I expected to see another attribute named userpassword (or something similar) with an encrypted password. But I can't locate that attribute. Is it possible that my bind credentials don't give me enough rights to read out the encrypted passwordfield? Or am I missing something entirely?
If there's something who has experience with pureftpd(with ldap support) and ADAM of AD please let me know.
Thanks in advance all!
Cheers,
JS
