Authenticate from Windows Domain

how can I force my Linux Server users to get authenticated from Windows 2000 Server Domain Controller ?

I can now authenticate from Windows Domain ..
But I need to set some rules ,, when the users are getting in , I need to put them in special groups ..
how can I assign a privilage to these users ?
how can I manage the groups they are located at ??

Set them in the /etc/group file.

Ok ,,
If my domain called DOMTEST
and my users may be DOMTEST+USR1 , DOMTEST+USR2 , DOMTEST+USR3 , .........

So u r asking me to add the users in the /etc/group to be like this :

adm:x:4:root,adm,daemon,[red]DOMTEST+USR2[/red] ???

You need to set WINBIND, PAM and Samba.

I set up a linux file server using this.

You can check if everything is "ok" with "getenv passwd" and "getenv group".
