I have a Win2K client attempting to VPN through a Checkpoint firewall to a NT4 domain. The client will authenticate on the firewall but is never prompted for the NT log on. This creates a problem because we can not connect to the Exchange 5.5 server. I have tied the exchange account to the domain account. There is an existing computer account on the PDC for the client and network properties show this client as a member of our domain. I can ping all IP's of the servers and access all resources on our file and print server by searching for the server by IP and then mapping to the resource. What do I do to get the domain log on to happen?

Try to map a drive on a server in your domain. It should prompt for login name and passwd. If it does not you have something wrong with your domain setup. Too bad I.T. is not cash business

I don't think that there is anything wrong with the domain since Win98 VPN clients prompt for domain log on. I've already tried mapping the drive to the Exchange server and it doesn't work. The Exchange server is looking for domain authentication. If a Win2k client has properties set that it's a member of a domain, why doesn't it prompt for domain log on when connected via VPN?
